The Heat & Glo Story
Heat & Glo was founded in 1975 in a small Minnesota garage by brothers Ron and Dan Shimek. Their goal was to create a better fireplace experience – one that would combine the pure draw of warmth and comfort with the style and simplicity of innovation. In 1987, Heat & Glo also introduced Balanced Flue technology – forever changing the way gas fireplaces function.

Heat & Glo gas inserts fit inside an existing masonry or manufactured wood burning fireplace, providing an instant upgrade. The I25-X can also be built into a new fireplace application using hebel block or timber frame when using the I25-X Zero Clearance kit.
